Teach the Laws of Yahweh to Your Children and Your Children’s Children

The Book of Yahweh – the most accurate translation of the Bible available today – presents Yahweh’s Laws as a guide for man for all time – never to be forgotten or neglected as is clearly commanded by teaching our children. Passage and side notes taken from The Book of Yahweh, The Holy Scriptures, a House of Yahweh publication…

Deuteronomy 4:1-10
1 Hear now, O Israyl, the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe and do. That you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh, the Heavenly Father of your fathers, is giving you.
2 You shall not add to the word, which I command you, nor shall you take anything from it, so that you may keep the Laws of Yahweh your Father, which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what Yahweh did to Baal Peor; The Lord of Peor, Yahweh your Father has destroyed them from among you.
4 But you who held fast to Yahweh your Father are alive, everyone of you this day.
5 See, I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as Yahweh my Father commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of.
6 Therefore, be careful to observe and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations who will hear of all these statutes, and say; Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods (elohim) with them, the way Yahweh our Father is near us whenever we pray to Him?
8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous statutes and judgments as are in all this body of Law, which I set in front of you this day?
9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself from forgetting the things your eyes have seen, nor let them depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and to your children’s children.
10 Remember the day you stood in front of Yahweh your Father at Horeb, when Yahweh said to me: Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My Law, so they may learn to reverence Me all the days they live on the earth, and so they may teach their children.

Side note “a” … verse 2 … you shall not add or take away …

See Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this Book; If any man will add to these things, Yahweh will add to him the plagues that are written in this Book;
19 And if any man will take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, Yahweh will take away his part out of The Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things, which are written in this Book.

Side note “G4” … verse 2 … you shall not add or take away …

Do not think to be more wise than Yahweh.

Side note “G5” … verse 2 … you shall not take anything from it …

Yahweh is not to be served halfway, but rather in total obedience.
See Revelation 3:15-16
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. Oh, that you were either cold or hot!
16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spew you out of My mouth.

Side note “b” … verse 2 … keep the Laws of Yahweh …

See Mattithyah 19:17 and Revelation 22:14
Mattithyah 19:17

Revelation 22:14
14 Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Side note “G6” … verse 3 … your eyes have seen …

The judgments Yahweh executed on god worshipers (worshipers of elohim) should serve as examples for our learning.
See Romans 15:4
4 For whatever things were written in former times were written for our learning, that we, through endurance and the comfort of the Scriptures, might have hope.

Side note “c” … verse 6 … this is your wisdom and understanding …

The reverence of Yahweh, which is done by keeping His Laws, is the beginning of wisdom.
Proverbs 9:10
10 The reverence of Yahweh is the beginning; first requirement, chief part, of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding
[See side note “G7” … He shows what true understanding is—to know the will of Yahweh in His word (the Law and the Prophets) which in many cases is referred to as holy things.]

Side note “G7” … verse 6 … this is your wisdom and understanding …

Because all men desire wisdom, Yahweh shows how wisdom may be attained.
